Once you’ve selected the voice and entered the desired text, simply hit “Generate” and wait a few seconds for ElevenLabs to process the audio. You can then download the generated audio from the “History” tab.

My Take on ElevenLabs

While ElevenLabs’ AI model is groundbreaking and different, I found that the AI-generated voice didn’t sound like mine. It lacked the confidence and authenticity I desired for creating content instead of using my own voice. However, I have come across incredible recordings done entirely with ElevenLabs that nearly fooled me, showcasing its potential. Nevertheless, it’s essential to note that ElevenLabs may not yield the same results for everyone and has limitations when it comes to capturing accents accurately.

2. Podcastle Revoice: A Hidden Gem for AI Voice Generation

My Take on Podcastle Revoice

Having previously written about Podcastle Revoice during its beta launch, I found the feature intriguing and enjoyed the process. According to Podcastle, they have improved their algorithm, resulting in better quality voice generation. While my digital voice from Revoice sounded somewhat like mine, it had a more robotic tone compared to ElevenLabs. For long-form content, I would lean towards ElevenLabs to ensure a more natural flow of speech. However, Podcastle remains an excellent choice for podcast recording and editing.

3. Descript Overdub: A Powerful AI Voice Generator

Descript’s Overdub is another notable AI voice generator that allows users to create a text-to-speech model of their voice or select one from their ultra-realistic stock voices.

My Take on Descript Overdub

I find Descript Overdub impressive in terms of ease of use and setup. The generated voice can sound quite natural, making it worth exploring alongside ElevenLabs.
