What is XM Cloud? – Sitecore Experience Manager Cloud, or XM Cloud, is a headless content management system that serves as a foundation for a composable digital experience platform (DXP) centered around content.

Below are the key features of XM Cloud:

XM Cloud offers a unified experience for developers and marketers to create and update websites so you can offer rich and relevant experiences to your customer.
Cloud Architecture: On Sitecore Cloud portal a single organization can create and manage multiple environments, for example, to cater to multiple brands, or to separate development and production environments. You can manage multiple websites, create content, launch websites, and deliver stunning experiences. In order to get access to the XM Cloud portal you have to belong to an ‘Organization’ (your account at Sitecore). Once you’re able to get access on that ‘Organization’ account, you can then start managing your users, provision projects and provision various environments for those projects. The XM Cloud portal is the way to go for easily launching solutions across the Composable DXP (Digital Experience Platform) either as a Sitecore Partner or a Sitecore Customer.

Headless CMS: XM Cloud also offers various features to create, update and share content within and across these environments or to your various channels, such as websites, apps etc.
Agility: By separating structure from design, front-end designers, creative designers, content authors, and developers can work in parallel and you can deploy and maintain multiple sites quickly and cost-effectively. Once a basic user experience plan is in place, everyone can get started on the platform. Leveraging all this leads to faster time to market. But still giving marketers the freedom to design the frontend experience utilizing the page layouting functionalities.
